Warner Village Theme Parks’ $23million show extravaganza, Australian Outback Spectacular, opened to the public April 4 2006, capturing the grandeur of the Australian Outback featuring spectacular visual effects and action-packed performances from leading stunt riders and stockmen and women. This permanent, new attraction on the Gold Coast was the first show of its kind set in a giant 1000 seat arena and featured an awe-inspiring cast of talented performers, skilled stockmen and women and a huge array of delightful animals including 42 horses, and Australian favourites; including 10 Longhorn and 20 Santa Gertrudis cattle, three camels, 50 sheep, two dogs, and chickens!
The action in the purpose built arena was accompanied by stunning orchestral pieces composed exclusively for the show, as well as popular country songs performed by the talented cast members.
The show featured the latest in show production technology and lighting systems with 240 colour change scrollers and 60 moving lights. Two large format Pigi Projectors screened stunning still imagery of outback scenes onto the entire rear wall of the arena and the rain effect and the fog bought the arena to life like never seen before.
