Show Background/Information

A legend is born as entertainment soars to fresh new heights with the introduction of a stunning new show - with Salute to the Light Horse – High Country Special.

Saddle up for a remarkable journey as one of Australia’s most stirring true stories is reborn when Australian Outback Spectacular commemorates the Centenary of the ANZACS and the tale of the boys from the bush who became heroes of the legendary Australian Light Horse.

Be dazzled by amazing animal stars, death defying stunts and stunning aerial performances and get involved as the stockmen and women from rival stations test their mateship and go head to head in some true blue Aussie challenges.

With three course dinner and drinks plus more drama, action, humour and excitement than ever before, Australia’s favourite dinner and show is more than a night out – it’s an experience steeped in courage, tradition and daring Australian spirit.

Show Times and Dates:
  • Show available nightly Tuesday to Saturday*, except Christmas Day on 25 December.
  • Doors open at 6:15pm.
  • Show commences at 7:15pm (groups must arrive by 6:45pm).
  • Show finishes at 9:15pm.

Ticket Inclusions:
  • 3 Course Meal and complimentary soft drink or water during the show

Menu:
  • Entrée: Slow roasted home-style pumpkin soup with crunchy golden croutons.
  • Main: Barbecue tenderloin beef steak with rich gravy, seasoned with Kakadu plum sauce and served with garden vegetables.
Alternative Main Options:
  • Chicken: Chargrilled chicken breast with chicken gravy served with garden vegetables and a toasty dinner roll
  • Vegetarian: a Ratatouille mix of capsicums, onion, zucchini, egg plant, chopped tomato and fresh herbs mixed with a bush tomato sauce, served in a camp oven pot and topped with pastry.
  • Dessert: Baked apple pie, delicately drizzled with warm salted caramel sauce and topped with a dollop of fresh high country cream.
  • Drinks: Choice of soft drinks or water throughout the show.
  • Special dietary variations can be accommodated for guests requiring options to the standard menu based on medical advice (minimum 48 hours notice required).
Behind The Scenes Tour:
  • A behind the scenes tour is available for students at a charge of $10.00 per person. This tour offers students the opportunity to observe various functions involved in the operation of the only show of its kind in Australia. Students will also be exposed to the history of the Australian outback.
  • Time: 3.30pm on evening show days
  • Please indicate your interest at time of booking. Tours are subject to availability and seasonal embargoes apply.

  • 72hrs notice is required for all meal requests and amendments.
